Need MS internet explorer on your linux box ? A quick fix here…

Saying that most linux user will never use MS Internet Explorer sound like a truism. In fact it is not because of the following reason (and absolutely not because Internet explorer is a better browser):

* Some sites will restrict traffic to Netscape or Internet explorer because they have been created with old templates (and old mind)
* Some banking sites rely on activeX to enable the connection to your bank account
* If you are creating websites you are better to check if it works for everyone (remember not everybody is enlightened )
* The last apply, not only Internet Explorer, but also to other browsers. A good web developer should have Opera, Firefox and Internet Explorer (and I have Galeon, epiphany, konqueror just in case to see how they look)
With Wine  we can install Internet explorer on a linux machine, but in fact wine is pain to configure. You don’t need to use VMware because there’s a way to do it that is much easier.

Best things of all, is you could get Internet explorer 5, 5.5, 6 and even the latest version 7 (not yet perfect though). Follow the recipe down here :
Running Internet explorer 5, 5.5 and 6
Running it for ubuntu
