Embrace, extend … Open Office

I see something good happening for the open office suite. Extensions are coming to OO.o! You know those little snippets of codes people like to use with Firefox/thunderbird, there will be a mechanism to include and manage them in OO.o. It would start by the next release 2.0.4. Why would you need that ? Because altough you can suggest a patch to integrate a functionnality in OO.o, its implementation could take months to be included in the main application (if the patch is accepted), while you can simply extend OO.o for yourself and the benefit of other.

There’s no repositories yet and it will take time to starts burgeoning, but I can see hundred of possible applications :  For me the first one would be fonctional save as multiformat. What would be the first one ?
